Bio: ARLENE STADD is the author of ELEANOR, the one-woman play about Mrs. Roosevelt which premiered at Washington, D.C.'s historic Ford's Theatre before beginning a national tour. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from Carnegie-Mellon University and went on to write short stories and feature articles for national magazines as well as book and lyrics for various cabaret shows and revues. In television, she has been at various times staff writer for GENERAL HOSPITAL and THE DOCTORS as well as writer of episodic teleplays for the network shows HOTEL; LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE; HAWAII 5-O; LUCAS TANNER, ROOM 222, and the tv movie SPINDRIFT, among others. Ms. Stadd may be contacted at www.arlenestadd.com. The National Endowment for the Arts honored her with a playwriting grant and the Writers Guild conferred similar recognition when they awarded a fellowship for an original screenplay about the first American woman pilot.
