Bio: Arthur Leo Zagat (1895-1949) was a prolific author of fiction, and a respected author of science fiction, in the 1930s and '40s. Although he graduated from Fordham University Law School, he never practiced law; by that time the young Zagat's stories were beginning to sell to magazines and he turned his talents entirely to writing. Zagat was so successful that by the time of his death, he had more than five hundred published stories and novels to his credit.
