Bernard Evslin
Bio: Bernard Evslin began his literary career writing plays for a repertory company playing in a boathouse in his hometown of Atlantic City. He is the author of four plays, including two adaptations, Mark Twain?s THE MAN THAT CORRUPTED HADLEYBURG and Henry James? THE BOSTONIANS. His original plays include GERANIUM HAT and STEP ON A CRACK.
Aside from writing plays, Evslin is also the author of several acclaimed books, including HEROES, GODS AND MONSTERS OF GREEK MYTHOLOGY, THE ADVENTURES OF ULYSSES, THE TROJAN WAR, THE ADVENTURES OF HERCULES--a twenty-five volume lavishly illustrated set--MONSTERS OF MYTHOLOGY, and SIGNS AND WONDERS. Today Evslin is the most widely read American mythologist, known for the sprightly dialogue and rich description that make a reader turn the page.
