Daniel Wyatt
Alert me when new Daniel Wyatt titles are added

Bio: Historical fiction writer Daniel Wyatt is a Canadian, born in Broadview, Saskatchewan in 1952, and raised in nearby Regina. He moved east to Ontario with his wife, Bonnie, in 1976 and resides in Burlington. His interest in history began in high school, where he became an avid reader of books on World War II, the American Civil War and baseball, especially the old Negro Leagues. All of these subjects are evident in his material.

His first published work was Two Wings and a Prayer by Boston Mills Press in 1984, first person stories from World War II air force veterans. This was followed up by Maximum Effort in 1986, also by Boston Mills Press, a set of stories that concentrated strictly on stories from bomber veterans. In 1990, Wyatt made the switch to historical fiction with The Last Flight of the Arrow, a techno-thriller setting for the only military flight of the highly-advanced fighter aircraft considered by many experts to be ahead of its day. Originally published by Random House, it sold 20,000 copies in paperback form. The Mary Jane Mission, by Random House, came next in 1992, a thriller-mystery about a World War II B-29 Superfortress bomber crew who had slid through the time-barrier in the 1990s with an armed atomic bomb. Wyatt's other published works include magazine articles for the Canadian TV Times, and American magazines, Baseball Digest, Aviation, Aviation Heritage, Aviation History, and World War II.

A big baseball fan, he enjoys collecting Detroit Tigers memorabilia and playing APBA, a realistic computer baseball game. He also coaches a local Burlington fastball team in the summer months.

The Last Flight of the Arrow has now been re-released by LTDBooks in electronic format.
