E. A. Wallis Budge
Bio: Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (1857-1934) was a tireless scholar of Egyptology and Assyriology. He was renown for his work with original sources, and his greatest achievement was translating the texts of the ancient and classical civilizations. The most famous of these was the Egyptian Book of the Dead. Budge penned numerous other important works including the Egyptian Hieroglyphic Dictionary (1920).
