F. W. Maitland
Bio: Frederic William Maitland is the founder of the Selden Society, which made historical legal records available in print. Besides the posthumously published The Constitutional History of England, some of his better-known publications include, , The History of English Law Before the Time of Edward I, and English Law and the Renaissance. He was born on May 28, 1850, in London, England, and died December 19, 1906, in the Canary Islands of Spain.
