Bio: Harry Shannon has been an actor, singer, Emmy-nominated songwriter and was VP of Music for a major film studio. He is currently a therapist in Los Angeles, California. Harry writes both crime-noir and horror fiction. His first collection, Bad Seed, received numerous HWA Stoker Award recommendations; one story ("Quickie") appeared on the 2001 preliminary ballot. Harry Shannon's well-reviewed first novel, Night of the Beast, received advance acclaim from such genre stalwarts Graham Masterton, William F. Nolan, Ed Gorman, Tom Piccirilli, Tim Lebbon, Brian Keene and Owl Goingback. The book, which has already received numerous Stoker recommendations as 'Best First Novel,' is available from MediumRareBooks.com. Shannon has published short fiction in Gothic.net, Terror Tales, Blue Murder, Gang Related, Futures, Crimestalker Casebook, Horrorfind, ShadowKeep, Alternate Realities, and several other magazines. His stories are featured in the 2003-2004 horror anthologies Family Plots, The Night Has Teeth, Fresh Blood, The Fear Within, and The Decay Within. Harry was recently asked to contribute a 20,000 word novella, Behold the Child, to the Cemetery Dance Publications limited-edition hardcover Brimstone Turnpike (which also showcases Joe R. Lansdale, Stoker-winner Mike Oliveri, Tim Waggoner, Scott Nicholson and Thomas F. Monteleone).
