Joe Haldeman
Bio: Joe Haldeman was born in 1943 in Oklahoma City. Before beginning his career as a science fiction writer, he studied physics and astronomy, and served in the Vietnam War, where he earned a Purple Heart. His many science fiction awards include Nebula and Hugo Awards for The Forever War and Forever Peace. His other novels include The Coming, Forever Free, 1968, and None So Blind. Joe Haldeman is currently a part-time professor at MIT and lives in Gainesville, Florida, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, with his wife Mary.
