Jonnie Jacobs
Bio: Jonnie Jacobs is the author of two ongoing mystery series and MOTION TO DISMISS. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jacobs has a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a law degree from UC's Boalt Hall School of Law. In addition, she holds graduate degrees in English from the University of Michigan, and in counseling from San Jose Sate University. She has been a teacher, counselor, and most recently an attorney with a large San Francisco law firm. Her first mystery novel, Murder Among Neighbors, was published in 1994. Murder Among Friends followed in 1995. Noted for their wry take on murder, malice and motherhood in modern suburbia, these novels feature amateur sleuth Kate Austen who lives with her young daughter Anna in an upscale suburb of San Francisco. Her second series, featuring attorney Kali O'Brien, began with Shadow of Doubt in 1996. Evidence of Guilt, the second and latest mystery in this series, finds Kali defending an uncooperative client charged in the grisly double murder of a woman and her young daughter. Jonnie Jacobs lives near San Francisco with her husband and two sons.
