Julia H. West
Bio: Julia West lives with her science-fiction-writer husband Brook,
two daughters (who also write SF), far too many cats (who haven't
written any SF that she knows of), and various aquarium residents
in a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. She has a degree in
anthropology which she earned with the express purpose of using
the information thus gathered to write science fiction.
She has had science fiction and fantasy for both children and
adults published. One of her children's stories, "Granpa is
Missing on the Mars Tranship," is on its second reprint in grade
school readers. Her novelette "Sea of Chaos" was Grand Prize
winner in the 1994 Writers of the Future contest. When she's not
writing, she gathers information for a weekly newsletter for
science fiction, fantasy, and horror markets, the CALLIHOO
Newsletter.
