M. J. Konevich
Alert me when new M. J. Konevich titles are added

What's this?

Bio: M. J. Konevich began his writing career at a young age by scribbling his thoughts into a journal he kept by his bedside after reading the stories of Poe and Lovecraft. Those tiny scraps of dementia eventually led him to begin writing his own short stories, which later developed into his first novels. Today his writing has been featured both on-line and in print, including several short stories and four novel-length books. Additionally, his novel The Woods Around Carter?s Lake became a finalist for Best Horror Novel in the EPPIE Awards, 2004. Born in Salem, Massachusetts in the mid-1970s, M. J. found himself in the center of a hotbed of supernatural activity. The town itself is literally crawling with history?from the infamous witch trials of 1692, to the mysterious Cabot House by the waterfront?which planted a seed in M. J.?s mind. Given time, and many, many hours of M. J. reading the masters of horror and the macabre, the seed began to germinate. After an uneventful college career left him struggling to find his place in the world, he turned back to reading and writing for solace and, in them, he discovered a strange new side to himself. A move to New York City followed soon after, and before long, the rejection letters he had been amassing over the years were replaced with acceptances. A return to his roots in Massachusetts sparked a new novel, and a myriad of new ideas. A new phase of life had truly begun?one which M. J. continues to enjoy.
