Mark A. Rayner
Bio: Mark has published short fiction in North America and haiku in Asia, and had a play produced in Europe. His first published story "Any Port in a Storm," was short-listed for a 2000 Aurora Award, and was originally published in Parsec (1999). Some of his many published short stories have been translated into foreign languages, including French. Mark supports his fiction habit by lecturing at The University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario, Canada. In that Forest City, he teaches in the Media, Information and Technoculture, and Graduate Journalism programs at the Faculty of Information and Media Studies. He also works as a freelance writer and web communications consultant, frequently, with steelecommunications. Most importantly, Mark is the pixel-pushing, word-cranking den-mother of The Emily Chesley Reading Circle, a society dedicated to literary scholarship and frequent meetings in the pub.
