R. J. Leahy
Bio: R. J. Leahy was born in 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri, where he spent ?a blissfully unremarkable childhood.? High School was followed by a short but adventurous period on the West Coast, slacking in the pre-slacker age. After running out of money and friendly confines, he reluctantly returned to the Midwest and enrolled in the University of Missouri School of Engineering.
?At that time CAD was still very crude, as apparently, was my ability with drafting instruments. At the recommendation of my teachers, I changed schools and majors the following year, eventually matriculating from Truman University with degrees in Chemistry and Physics. Not yet willing to suffer the indignity of work, I opted for continuing education, graduating four years later with a medical degree.?
He is a practicing physician as well as a writer of fiction and collector of ancient medical texts. He remains in the Midwest, where he lives with his fiance, a remarkable woman who indulges his love of scotch and fine cigars without complaint. No higher praise can a man give.
