Bio: Raised by wolves and a rabid duck named Max, Ray Owens had to turn to humor in order to milk the Internet boom for all it was worth.
"I didn't have access to women to start up a porn site, but I did have a couple of thousand old jokes sitting around in crates. I'd been at K-Mart trying to 'buy a life' during one of their Blue Light Special. Instead of picking up a life, they had these slightly used and discontinued jokes over by the beef jerky. I picked up a couple of cases of them and the rest is history."
Despite having an idiot in charge, the Joke A Day website (www.jokeaday.com) prospers beyond belief. Joke A Day has over 400,000 daily readers in 152 countries. Outside auditors are quickly closing in, though, and that number is expected to decline from 400,000 to 8 inmates in the county asylum.
