Sidney Colvin
Bio: Born in Norwood, England, on June 18, 1845, Sidney Colvin seemed to come from rather quiet and humble beginnings. He studied in Cambridge, and later at Trinity. He may best be remembered, not for the works that he actually composed, but for the people that he knew, met, and conversed with – among them Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Robert Louis Stevenson, Sir Charles Newton and Joseph Conrad – throughout the course and remainder of his life. Sidney Colvin died in l926.
