Sutton Miller
Bio: Sutton Miller is the combined pseudonym of authors Maryann Miller and Margaret Sutton. Maryann Miller has a wealth of experience as a journalist, publishing in numerous regional and national newspapers and magazines. Nine of her nonfiction books have been published by The Rosen Publishing Group in New York, including Coping With Weapons and Violence In School. On Your Streets>, which is in its third printing, was chosen by the New York Library as one of the Best Books for Teens. She has also had two novels electronically published: Friends Forever, a young adult novel, and Open Season, the first book in a mystery series. Miller won her first writing award at age twelve with a short story in the Detroit News Scholastic Writing Awards Contest and continues to garner recognition for her short stories, books, and screenplays. She placed as a finalist at the Sundance Film Festival with her screenplay, A Question of Honor. The script adaptation of Open Season was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2000 Chesterfield Film Company Screenplay Fellowship. Friends Forever was a finalist in the EPPIE contest, an award for original electronically published books.
She lives in Texas with her husband.
An adventurous entrepreneur, Margaret Sutton has headed several unique businesses in the Dallas metroplex. These included production of home decorating items and a custom-design carpet sculpting business. Her clients comprised the who's who of Dallas society, as well as mid-east royalty who brought their personal aircraft to Dallas for her unique decorating touch. As a professional writer, Ms. Sutton has placed her work in several mystery magazines such as ELLERY QUEEN MAGAZINE. Still a resident of Texas, Ms. Sutton shares her home with a pet monkey and considers herself "Willie's Mom."
