Therese MacFarland
Bio: Therese MacFarland lives, works, writes, and plays in New Jersey. She is married with one cat. A former archaeologist, Terry has lived a somewhat nomadic life, moving from her childhood home in Baltimore to Indiana for school, then on to London. She spent several years in Greece conducting archaeological fieldwork, although her passion is Mesoamerican archaeology. Terry has written a bit about archaeology and history for academic journals. She's a huge fan of classic fantasy, the likes of Zelazny, Piers Anthony, and Robert Jordan, and her favorite writer, aside from Mark Twain, is fantasy satirist Terry Pratchett. When she?s not at work, poking around Mexican ruins, or acquiring wrinkles on a Caribbean beach, Terry practices martial arts. She holds a Second Dan in Ryukyu Kempo karate and loves teaching beginning adult students. She began writing in 2004 and was nominated for a CAPA award for her first book, as well as a CAPA for Best New Traditional Writer.
