Bio: Tim Kane teaches sixth grade in an elementary school in Chula Vista, California. He has published articles in Verbatim, and has published poetry in Starry Night Review and The 5th Wall. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in writing, and is working on his Master?s in English. Tim tells us: ??Breathing Space? was initially inspired by Jack London?s ?To Build a Fire.? In that story, an unnamed man must build a fire or freeze to death. The environment wins. I adapted this to the cold of space.?
