This was the moment she'd been waiting for. The other men she had selected for her entertainment were now inconsequential. She had wanted him to make the first advance, and it had taken him an agonizingly long six months to notice her. Now, she needed to be very careful. She took her time answering his question, giving him an assessing look that began at the tips of his toes, working its way to his rock-hard abs, then on to his wavy blond hair. She noticed his Adam's apple bobbing up and down in ... what? Trepidation? Could he possibly be nervous at this encounter? Feeling like a fisherman reeling her catch into the boat, she smiled.

"Maybe. What's your name?"

He took a steadying gulp of air. "I'm William, Will for short."

"Well, Will-For-Short. You can call me Ruby."

"I know who you are. I've been a fan from afar for months now."

Ruby noticed that Will expelled a shaky breath. Good, he's not quite sure of himself. Well, Mr. Hot Shot Attorney hasn't seen anything yet.

She gazed up at him, acknowledging the compliment by giving him a small smile and a nod of her head. Then she moistened her full, lush lips, and watched as Will's eyes quickly revealed his naked desire for her. "So, are we dancing, or just talking?"

Will took her dainty hand in his larger one, and led her onto the vast dance floor that was jammed with bodies, all writhing and sweating in time to the music. Ruby bumped up against him suggestively, and felt Will's body respond immediately to her touch, as he quickly became hard as a rock. She merely looked up at him, her smoky eyes veiled by her long lashes, and smiled. Without a word, she slipped her arms around his waist, and pulled herself closer.
