Sharon Anderson-Alter

Bio: Sharon Anderson-Alter was born, raised and educated in Toronto. She received her Honours Degree in English and French from the University of Toronto and was granted a teaching fellowship in postgraduate studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where she earned her Master of Arts degree in English Literature. Her thesis, on the unifying figure of Sir Lancelot du Lac in the Arthurian Legends, is regarded by many in the field of Medieval studies as an exciting, highly original work. Ms. Anderson-Alter taught English and French at the Secondary level fro several years. She is also an accomplished pianist and published poet who has won prizes in Canada and the United States. Currently, she is teaching writing at Rutgers University, piano at Westminster Conservatory of Rider University and writing to Chinese students at The Complete Learning Center in Somerset, NJ.
