Larry Deibert

Bio: Larry Deibert was born on July 13, 1947. He graduated from Slatington High School in 1965, and received an associate degree in Business Administration from Allentown Business School in 1967. Drafted into the army on March 3, 1969, Larry took his basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey and his Military Police training at Fort Gordon, Georgia. After serving six months of MP duty at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, he spent ten months in Vietnam with the 557th Military Police Company in Long Binh. Larry has two children, Laura, a fifth grade teacher in Allentown, Pa and a son, Matthew, a drummer with the jazz/fusion group, The Ryan Cavanaugh Trio, based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. 95 Bravo is Larry's first published work. He has also written a second novel, Requiem For A Vampire, and is currently working on a novel about the 716th MP Battalion set during the Tet Offensive of 1968. Larry has been a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Allentown, Pa since 1986. Larry is a life member of Veterans of the Vietnam War, Inc. and is also a member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 415, Lehigh Valley, Pa. He is also a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9264, Macungie, Pa. Larry is past president of the Lehigh Northampton Vietnam Veterans Memorial, located on the grounds of the Macungie Veterans Association Home. He would like to dedicate this book to his friend and mentor, Mark Graham, author of The Killing Breed, The Restrictionist, the Edgar Award winning Black Maria, and The Third Day. He would also like to dedicate this book to his children and the love of his life, Peggy Deets. In his spare time, Larry enjoys reading, writing novels and poetry, and enjoying many indoor and outdoor activities. Larry would like to thank Bill Cooper, designer of the Lehigh Northampton Vietnam Veterans Memorial for the artwork for his book cover.
