Jeanne Barrack

Bio: Jeanne Barrack got hooked on fantasy began at the tender age of ten when, she got her hands on her older brother's collection of Ray Bradbury's books. Her love of romance novels started when she read the galley proofs for a steamy Rosemary Rogers novel. For a brief, delirious time, she and her husband owned a children's book store in Minneapolis. It was the beginning of a love affair that has never ended. Dealt a double whammy in 1997 by her mother's death and being downsized from her job, she turned to her dreams for solace and created "Silver Fire", a story that combines her two loves of fantasy and sensual romance. Rewrites, edits and writing contests followed. Life and other projects put it on the back burner until this year, when all spiffed up, she sent it off to Loose Id where it found a home. Jeanne is a native New Yorker, married for thirty-odd years (and they have been odd) to her high school sweetheart. Although they haven't been blessed with children, they?ve heard the pitter-patter of little Tibetan Terriers paws throughout their married life. Jeanne plays guitar and sings everything from folk music to Grand Opera - in ten languages including Gaelic and Hebrew.
