Cory Panshin
Bio: Cory Panshin spent her childhood dreaming of stars and dinosaurs, Greek gods and hobbits. She dabbled in linguistics and anthropology in college, but finding both these disciplines insufficiently magical, she dropped out of graduate school and married a science fiction writer instead. She has collaborated with her husband, Alexei Panshin, on one fantasy novel (Earth Magic), a few short stories, and a range of critical writings, most notably their Hugo-winning account of the conceptual development of science fiction, The World Beyond the Hill. She has been at work for many years on a study of historical cycles and the role of the imagination in human history. The fruits of this study are now starting to appear as essays on her website, Trogholm.
