Merlyn Norris
Alert me when new Merlyn Norris titles are added

Bio: Merlyn Norris was a mechanical Engineer from Kansas University. He worked in industry for 41 years. He was conservative and was never one to be caught up in big salaries or deep debt. Early in his career, he traveled extensively in Kansas and Missouri, and later in Nebraska. He always enjoyed talking to engineers, farmers, and others exchanging tall tales. While on the road he started writing. He fell in love with the Ozarks in his early years. He and his wife later bought land at the Lake of the Ozarks in l952. He was fascinated by the development of the lake and the displacement of the people. The farmers were content with and had faith in the land and in their God. They were content with getting by with whatever the land could produce for them. When he retired to the lake, he wrote this novel about the lake and the effect the land had on the people, incorporating many of his stories from over the years.
