B. J. Thrower
Bio: B. J. Thrower has published science fiction, fantasy, dark fantasy,
and horror short fiction in a variety of markets, some of which include
Non-Stop Magazine, the Distant Journeys anthology from
Starlance Publications, Bending the Landscape: Fantasy from White
Wolf, and Asimov's Science Fiction. Her Asimov's novelette,
"Noodle You, Noodle Me," was on the 1998 Nebula Preliminary Ballot, and
received an Honorable Mention in Gardner Dozois' 15th Edition of the
Year's Best Science Fiction (St. Martins). Upcoming publications
include an SF short story in Artemis Magazine, "Elixir of Life,"
and a reprint of her BtL:F story, "The Home Town Boy," by Overlook
Press. She is an Active SFWA member, and recently served on SFWA's 1999
Nebula Short Fiction Jury. She has several new short fiction pieces either
in progress or planned, including a collaborative SF story with the editor
of Extremes, Brian-san. In her "spare time," she's the
Government Documents Manager at the University of Tulsa Law Library. She
lives in Tulsa with her husband, Randy, and two daughters, Karen and
Sarah.
