Bio: The daughter of a northern mother and southern father, Diane has always loved Civil War history. With a cousin whose parents? backgrounds were reversed, ?Yebels? became our moniker for each other. Also, being (a small) part Indian kept her interested in all things Native American. More often than not, Diane was found playing cowboys and Indians rather than Barbies, like most little girls do.
Her love of reading started early, with Nancy Drew as her favorite. As she got older, horses replaced Nancy and they were eventually replaced with historicals and romances.
Diane lives about sixty miles south of Kansas City on fourteen acres of land with her husband, Dave, five horses, two dogs and three cats. She has two grown children, Eric and Kristen, of whom she?s very proud, a terrific ?almost? son-in-law, Ryan, and a wonderful grandson, ?little? Ryan.
When Diane?s not working or writing, she can be found riding her horses or dancing to a raucous country beat?or just enjoying a beautiful sunset from her back porch.
