Tansy Rayner Roberts

Bio: Tansy Rayner Roberts is a fantasy writer. Her children's novel Seacastle: Book 1 of the Lost Shimmaron will be released to Australian bookshops in May 2007. Tansy is the author of the award-winning Splashdance Silver, its sequel Liquid Gold, and the chapbook novelette Hobgoblin Boots all set in the comic fantasy land of Mocklore. Tansy also edited issues 9 & 23 of Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine and co-edited AustrAlien Absurdities (Agog Press), an anthology of humorous speculative fiction. She is a creative writing teacher, PhD student and stay-at-home mum. Tansy is currently involved with various publications at Twelfth Planet Press, including reviews website ASif, the shared world webzine New Ceres and upcoming YA ezine Shiny. She belongs to writing groups The Invisible College, RoR and Broad Universe. Tansy?s alter ego Cassiphone has a LiveJournal that is regularly updated with her writing, reading, editing and toddler news. Her other alter ego Pendlerook runs a small business selling the Deepings Dolls. Tansy is currently working on The Creature Court, a dark fantasy epic that is set in the city of Aufleur and is inspired by Ancient Rome as well as the 1920's, and So Unfairy, a YA comedy about a fairy godmother in training.
