Frank O'Rourke
Bio: Frank O'Rourke, in a long and distinguished career spanning four decades,
published more than sixty works of fiction, including sports novels,
westerns, and mysteries in his early career and, in later years, novels
of midwestern America and contemporary satires. He was awarded the
Southwestern Library Association's 1958-59 Award for his historical novel
about New Mexico, The Far Mountains. Among the motion pictures
made out of his books is the classic adventure film The
Professionals, based on his novel A Mule for the Marquesa.
