Graham Masterton
Alert me when new Graham Masterton titles are added

Bio: Graham Masterton wrote THE MANITOU in 1975, and the story of a Native American medicine man returning from the dead to seek his revenge on the white man was an immediate success, selling over a million copies in its first six months. It was filmed in 1976 with Tony Curtis, Susan Strasberg, Stella Stevens, Michael Ansara and Burgess Meredith. Thanks to Graham's Polish wife and European literary agent, Wiescka, THE MANITOU was the first Western horror novel to be published in Poland after the fall of Communism and there it sold over a million copies in six months. Since then Masterton has written over 75 novels, horror, thrillers and historical sagas, as well as publishing four collections of short stories and editing Scare Care, an anthology of horror stories for the benefit of abused children. Born in 1946 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Graham Masterton was a newspaper reporter before taking over joint editorship of the British edition of Penthouse and Penthouse Forum magazines. His experience with sexual counseling led to a series of highly-successful "how-to" books on sexual subjects published by Penguin Dutton, with sales running into millions all around the world. Graham and Wiescka Masterton have three sons. They live in Cork, Ireland, where he continues to turn out a splendid body of work, the most recent of which (2001) is BONNIE WINTER, published by Penguin and optioned for the film by director Jonathan Mostow. His hobby is staring out the window.
