Karen McCullough
Bio: Since I graduated from Duke University with a degree in Spanish and Anthropology (don't ask how many years ago, okay?), I've gone through several careers, including social work, computer programming, and managing editor for a series of magazines for pet lovers and those in the pet trade. I am currently Senior Web editor for Cahners Business Information's home furnishings group.
I love writing. Some day I'm going to retire from the rat race and do nothing but produce more novels and short stories than the world really needs. In the meantime, though, I do most of my story-spinning late at night and on weekends. I've written several novels and and many articles and short stories. In addition to the electronically published novels you saw on my home page, I've had four novels of romantic mystery/suspense published by Avalon Books, a fantasy role-playing game book published by Iron Crown Enterprises, and I've sold a number of short stories in the science fiction, fantasy, mystery and romance genres (and a number of hybrids thereof), mostly to small-press publications.
I live in Greensboro, North Carolina with my wonderfully supportive husband. I have three grown children (who are also very supportive), two adorable, wonderful grandchildren, terrific parents, helpful brothers and sisters (!) and a few near-children, not counting the hamsters, gerbils, birds, dog, cat and rabbit that have come and gone. I
also have In my spare time, I like gardening, sports (baseball, football and college basketball), travel, guitars (actually, I haven't had time to pick one up in a good while, but the affection is still there), and reading.
