Great Good OK Poor

"Get your feet off my desk, Morrison."

It was never good when Jasper called me by my last name. He was more gruff than usual this morning, and I had a feeling I wasn't going to enjoy this meeting as much as I had hoped to.

Jasper is, among other things, my boss. He runs the sponsor program for Wyspa on behalf of the military. It's his job to assign new arrivals to the island to civilians like me who have lived here for a while to help the newbies get accustomed to life on Wyspa.

"So I take it I'm here for business and not pleasure?" I asked with an exaggerated sigh.

"Stop it," Jasper said, but his tone had softened a little. "You know I wouldn't call you to my office for that."

"I guess I was just hoping maybe we would play commander and soldier or something. You know, spice things up a bit." I waggled my eyebrows and was rewarded with a tight smile from him.

"Trevor, you are incorrigible."

"And you love it," I said with a laugh. "So what's up, General? Since you didn't call me here to ravage me, why did you make me show up at the ass crack of dawn?"

"It's noon, you lazy ass," he said. "And I called you here because I want to assign a new arrival to you."

I groaned. It had been a really long time since Jasper had stuck me on sponsor duty. Of course, we hadn't had a new arrival to the island in forever, so I'd probably just lucked out.

It had been silly to think that Jasper had wanted me to come to his office on a personal level. He was always so quick to remind me that we were not in a relationship. That the last few months of us fucking each other's brains out was just a matter of convenience. Though, I wasn't sure who exactly it was convenient for.

He thought he was too old for me, and I thought he was a moron. So there wasn't a whole lot for us to base an actual relationship on, I suppose. But I liked him. We had fun together and he made me laugh. Plus he had those dashing good looks that had been so hard to find on the island as of late.

It seemed that everyone had paired up and left me to be the odd man out. Neither Jasper nor I had been looking for...whatever it was we had. But it sure had been a lot of fun.

Now, he was going to stick me with some newbie and make me play tour guide, which would seriously cut into our already limited sneaking around time. Personally, I didn't see the need to sneak around anyway. Sure it had been exciting at first, our forbidden passion or whatever. But now, I just kind of wanted to be able to hang out in public with him. But Jasper always refused.

"Earth to Trevor. Are you listening?"

"Not really," I admitted.

"You are a pain in the ass."

"So glad you remember," I said with a wink and smiled when his cheeks turned light pink. It made me happy that after all this time I could still get to him.

"I was saying that your new arrival's name is Riley Thompson, and he washed up on shore a few weeks ago. He's already been through orientation so he understands the conditions of Wyspa. You'll just need to let him stay with you for a while until we are sure he isn't going to...what do you call it? Melt down or freak out?"

"Yeah, those are my two favorites."

I love the way Jasper refers to our tropical hell as a "condition". I wasn't allowed to advise any new arrivals of our "condition" anymore. Probably since I prefer to tell people that back around World War II a bunch of scientists had royally fucked us by testing a magnetic field before it was ready and trapping us on Fantasy Island forever. I don't see what the big deal is, it's a perfectly logical explanation. But I suppose since Jasper had had a hand in getting everyone stuck on Wyspa he felt guilty when I was so blunt about it. Or maybe he was just a dick.

The military had been trying to prepare for nuclear war and decided that if they could build a force field around an island they could protect whoever they deemed to be important at the time then just drop the field when the threat was gone. They chose the island of Wyspa for their little test. Unfortunately, their ideas were bigger than their brains, and now, no one can get out. Occasionally, people wash up on shore or crash their planes here, but for some reason, we can't get back.

People who have arrived in the last few years tell me that they refer to the area around Wyspa as the Bermuda Triangle and that it is the subject of much debate, especially in America. They make movies and write books about it. Funny, we just live here and do the best we can not to go insane.

I suppose the best thing about the island is the fact that we age so much slower than what's normal for humans. Something about the magnetic field fucks with our DNA, I guess, and we get to live a lot longer. Plus it seems to kill diseases as no one here has ever died of "natural causes". Rather than dwell on the negatives about the island, I usually choose to focus on the fact that I will stay young and dashing for so much longer than I would back home.

Jasper glared at me, and I realized I must have faded out again. I gave him a sheepish grin and fought not to laugh when he rolled his eyes. Since we had been spending so much more time together, he had started to pick up a few of my mannerisms and it cracked me up to see them sometimes.

There were times when he would give me one of my own looks, and I would worry that someone was going to figure us out. Personally, it wouldn't have bothered me in the least, but I knew that he wasn't comfortable making our relationship known. Not yet at least. Maybe someday, he would suck it up and tell his friends that he was banging me, but for now, I was going to take what I could get. It might be shallow, but Jasper Collins is one hell of a lay. I wasn't going to do anything to jeopardize what I had.

"Riley is going to be working for me so you don't even have to get him a job. Just let him stay with you and keep him out of trouble. Do you think you can handle that?"

"Sir yes sir." I gave him a salute and put my feet back up on his desk. "So when do I get to meet my new charge?"

"Tomorrow." Jasper walked over to shut his office door. He turned back to me and smiled. "It's going to be difficult for us to get together with Riley living with you. Unfortunately, you're the only sponsor available at the moment. He's a good kid, and I'm sure he will be out on his own in no time."

"So you didn't stick me with him as a way of avoiding me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No, of course not." Jasper sounded seriously offended that I would suggest that. It made me feel better to hear that tone in his voice.

It would be just like him to plan such an elaborate means of cooling us off. I knew that whatever we had probably wouldn't last, and when it ended, it was going to be his fault, not mine. I genuinely liked spending time with Jasper, not just in bed but out of it. I could be myself around him, and when he relaxed, he was actually pretty fun for a stuffed shirt army brat.

"Okay," I said, getting to my feet. "So since I am apparently free for one more night, what do you think I should do with myself? I suppose I ought to clean up my house since I'm going to have company for a while."

"Or you could meet me back here after sunset, and we could try out that commander and soldier game you had been looking forward to."

My cock twitched in response to the thought. His gaze was fixed on mine, and the look in his gray eyes was all about sex. I would have dropped to my knees right then and there if I'd thought he would let me. But during office hours, I knew well enough to behave myself. After hours though...

He leaned forward and kissed me softly, but I grabbed him around the waist before he could pull away. His lips parted to allow my tongue inside, and I ravaged his mouth as his hands slid up my back. I groaned as his nails dug into my shoulder, and I wished that he would just throw me down on his desk and take me hard and fast.

"Tonight," he whispered as if reading my mind. He pulled away from me and let me straighten his shirt before he backed away.

"Tonight," I repeated.

As I left his office, I knew that it was going to be the longest day of my life.
