The smell of sex hung on the air, mixed with exotic scents of perfume, leather, alcohol and a unique older aroma that came from the building itself. Ariana loved this place, and immersed herself in the feeling of it as if the walls themselves wrapped around her. And if those walls could talk, such stories they would tell.
Ariana made her way down the darkened hall hung with black velvet draperies, to the base of wide shallow stairs. She took the gradual climb slowly. At the top a tall tuxedoed maitre'd greeted her.
He held his hand for her and Ariana placed her gloved one in his. She glanced at him, surprised by the strength in his fingers and how they curled around her own rather than lay flat as she expected they should. Normally she paid no mind to those working here but he caught her attention with that simple move. He was masked as most were here, taller than her and very blond. She wondered if it was his natural color. His muscles strained the fabric of the well-fitting tuxedo. A shimmer of excitement shivered through Ariana.
She would have to keep an eye on this fellow tonight.
