Prologue 'Put your mouth on it, Dahlia.' 'Like this?' 'Just like that.' 'Or this.' Bed sheets rustled. There was the unmistakable sound of skin on skin, followed by a palpable wetness in the dark. Almost like a kiss, but different. 'That. Oh, God, that. That is so fucking good.' 'Should I move down a little?' Her voice was perky, but every time she spoke, it stopped her from doing the one thing he wanted and took her pretty lips away from him. 'I don't know, Dahlia. Don't ask me questions. I can't think.' He reached out to pull her to him, but wound up with his hands full of her thick, auburn hair. When she moved her head, the glossy strands slipped free from his fingers, leaving him holding on to nothing but air. 'Please, baby,' he said next, trying a different tactic. 'Please.' Dahlia looked up at him, her green eyes flashing in the candlelight. 'Do you like that?' she asked. Her breath felt hot against his skin, dangerous yet sexy. He nodded and stared at her, seeing white teeth shining in a perfect smile, full lips that were wet and slick. Dahlia was obviously in a playful mood. He wasn't. When he spoke again, his voice sounded husky, raw with need. 'Just don't stop,' he said softly. 'Don't ever, ever stop.' Copyright © 2001 by Alison Tyler
