eBook Category: Science Fiction
eBook Description: A novel of earth-bound science fiction with a story that deals with the momentous 'sea' changes that we set our hopes on in politics and in romance. It also carries a love story that begins in Russia. The book is the fourth novel in the epic series, The Lodging for the Rose. The science of the series appears like a fantasy that is as distant from the present world as is the sun, which nevertheless affords us light and warmth. The romance in the book unfolds a dream of universal love that no one really understands at first. Thus, the dream falls apart. In the process the story probes the 'prison' of self-isolation in the shadow of sexual abuse, political abuse, and of narrow perceptions. Still the love that is kindled, even in these shadows, remains alive. From it a light is born that in later times takes us farther than the dreamer had dared to hope. Nor is the science in the book a static thing, but a thing of life that grows and brings to light a whole new dimension that is as wide as the seashore, as vital as the wind, and as real as the soft sand. As a discovery, new perceptions unfold on a one way street where we leave footprints behind that we have outgrown, that we can never can step back into. We build our world on this fine line of change, that is ever changing, ever challenging, that is ever pushed forward by a beckoning impetuous of ideas that is greater than us, that drags us out of the rut.
