FBI agent, James Eberle studied the two elderly women seated in front of him. "You say you witnessed a kidnapping this morning? Have you reported it to the police?"

They both answered at once. "They pushed her in a car." "No, we came straight to you."

He held up a hand. "Please, one at a time. You realize the FBI cannot become involved unless requested by the local police."

"But--"

"I will listen to you, but first, may I have your names."

The short, plump one fluttered a hand towards her friend' "You tell him, Martha."

"Martha Beeson. This is Agatha Grimes. This morning we saw a young woman kidnapped. We came straight to you because we know the FBI handles kidnappings. We thought it would save time."

"Oh, yes," Agatha said softly. "Such a nice young woman. You really must save her, young man." A shadow flitted across her face. "Her eyes were so frightened...."
