Diana Tregarde stared at her lover's back for five full minutes while his long, graceful fingers flew over the keyboard of her computer. For all she could tell, he was completely oblivious to her presence. That was not like him at all--a two-hundred-year-old vampire does not abandon himself in a task so completely that he ignores his immediate environment.
