As Brad walked into the bookstore cafe, he felt like was going to die. His skin was slick and hot as frying bacon, and it felt as if needles were jabbing the backs of his eyeballs. His head throbbed, his stomach roiled, and he couldn't decide which he needed more: a stiff drink or a hit off a joint. Maybe both. No, scratch that. Definitely both.
