The quilt pulls you in. The design is complex, many-layered, original. Green is the predominant hue, from the deepest forest green to the lightest new-leaf green, with touches of sunny yellow, and, here and there, drops of blood-red. Moving closer, you notice the quilting. So tiny! As if stitched by a fairy hand. The stitches whorl in and out, around and around, in counterpoint to the colors of the pieces. Closer still, you begin to sense something else. Something ... other.
