Druscilla frowned as she looked down at the cradle where she had left her infant daughter sleeping. "Briam, do you have Zora with you? She's not in her cradle."
Her husband came in from the balcony, lute in hand. "No, I haven't seen her since you put her down for her nap." He looked down at the pile of white fur currently occupying the cradle. "I see that Fluffy decided to join her."
Druscilla sighed. "I certainly haven't been able to keep that cat away from her. But that doesn't tell us where Zora is."
"She can crawl," Briam pointed out.
"Crawl, yes," Druscilla agreed, "but I don't think she could have climbed out of the cradle without falling, and one of us would have heard that." She looked pointedly at the lute in his hand and added, "At least I would have."
