Being a mail carrier was the first steady job John had ever had.

John's problem was that he was a dreamer. His bosses would catch him staring into space for the thousandth time, imagining himself as the lead actor in a Hollywood flick or the President of the United States. By age twenty-six, John had imagined himself right out of ten different occupations.
