Heather Grace's book BUBBLE MUD AND OTHER POEMS is a charming book for young children. The colorful illustrations, oddball, and quirky poems are sure to keep your child's attention. It also features over forty web links to educational websites where children and their parents can learn more about the words and views that are used in this creative book. I loved the parent/teacher manual that accompanies every book, and my four and five year old enjoyed the activities such as coloring pages, puzzles, and word games. Read BUBBLE MUD AND OTHER POEMS by Heather Grace and find out what happens to all your old missing socks, or learn what little boys would rather do besides getting married when they grow up! The many poems are told from a child's perspective and you'll enjoy reading them with your child. Such poems include: playing hide and seek, learning how to do things on your own, taking a wild ride with a cool grandma, and taking a bubble mud bath. A child's mind is a complex place filled with the ability to imagine some of the weirdest subjects, and I believe that Ms. Grace has found her niche. Children will be delighted with these cute poems written by Heather Grace. Grace gives her young readers 17 poems that will be sure to bring out the giggles and tickles. Kym Jones' illustrations give the poems even more giggles, with her bright colors and fun characters; this is a book that parents and children will love to discover together. Besides the wonderful poems, Grace also has provided her readers with word searches, activity sheets, and coloring pages. I printed out the sheets for my son, and he loves them. One of the coloring pages now hangs on my fridge. The activity sheets I admired. They are fun, but at the same time educational. One of the sheets is an understanding page; questions and answers pertaining to the poetry that the child just read. Grace then provides for the parents/teachers urls of educational resources. This is a perfect book for homeschooling children, and I highly recommend it. It is released next month, so it is perfect timing.
