I love to read about weird things.

So naturally, that's what I was doing at the moment.

I had bought this great book at a secondhand bookstore. It had no title, and it looked about a million years old! But it was full of stories about witches, goblins, and a whole bunch of other weird things.

And talking about "weird," the old man who had sold me the book took the prize. He kept on looking at his shadow. It was as if he were expecting it to bite him or something. I had jokingly asked him if he thought he was going to lose it.
