The reason Alex picked up the university newspaper was that it was free. The others in the vending machines, cheap as they were, cost more than he had in his pocket.

It was ridiculous, being this poor. His scholarships took care of the necessities, but he had to find some way to earn a little spending cash, even if classwork did swallow almost all his time.

Alex opened the newspaper. Immediately his eyes caught the line SPERM DONORS WANTED.

The advertisement had run for weeks, but now it struck him a whole new way. Him? A sperm donor?

Well, why not? He'd heard they paid well. It wasn't as if his sperm had any better place to go. He was between girl friends, and these last six months before graduation weren't leaving him much time to check out the action.

When he got home, he made the call.
