In "Sarajevo" by Nick DiChario, Ahmo is charged by his dying grandmother to return her gold ring to her childhood home in Sarajevo. But this is not just a simple tourist visit. Sarajevo is now possessed by the ghosts of the people killed in the ethnic violence. The restless spirits re-enact their violent demises over and over as tourists come to watch in horror. The picture painted here was very sobering, and the tale had a nice twist at the end. -Jim Reichert, Tangent Online (Learn more about Tangent Online, the Internet's leading SF&F short fiction review website)
