"--smart, hip and hysterical."--Rob Lauer, award-winning playwright

Sir Gabriel was waiting to hand over the vial of punch. "You didn't have much fun," he observed with one of his smiles.
Honoria glared at him. "I hate dancing." "Hate it?" Gabe's eyebrows shot up. "I hardly think that a proper sentiment for a princess, Princess." "Hate it," Honoria repeated. "Loathe, despise, abominate, abhor, detest--" Gabe raised both hands in surrender. "I promise never to partner you, then." "Good," she said, snatching the vial from him and turning back to the chamber door. She felt a pang, but couldn't say why. "Except for just this once," Gabe added and caught her by the hand. "Are you out of your mind?" Honoria whispered as the knight drew her into his arms and began to move with her down the passageway, humming a tune. "I told you I hate dancing," she reminded him, but her feet were moving gracefully in time to his humming and truly, she felt as light as a feather in Sir Gabriel's arms. "Ah," he said, gently spinning her, "but you've never danced with me, Princess."
