"The humor of Full Moon Honeymoon, romance, mouth-watering pastries, blended family relationships, and a mystery full of surprise twists add up to an enjoyable read that is anything but lulling. This is a don't miss read by a talented author."--Fran Keighley

The unmistakable intro to Satisfaction from the Rolling Stones telephone dragged Debbie from the depths of slumber. Noel grunted in his sleep as she grabbed for Mick Jagger. She squinted at the digital clock: five-thirty in the morning. Great. Her alarm set for six, her night's sleep was over. "H'lo."
"Mom?" "Beth?" She'd called her Mom, not Debbie. She rarely called her Mom. "Omigod! It's the baby, isn't it? Has Kevin called Jeremy? How close together are the contractions? Are you--" "It's not the baby. It's your friend, Nate." Wide awake now, Debbie swung her legs to the edge of the bed. "What's happened?" "I don--t know. He never came back last night. Wasn--t he going to drop you off at the condo and come back here?" "No, honey. Your dad picked me up. I left Nate there to mix dough." She bolted from the bed. "I have to go. Something must be wrong." "Want me to call anyone? The police?" "No. We'd blow his cover, remember? I'll check on him. I'm sure he's all right." Her imagination conjured up visions of the agent's bloodied body sprawled in the alley behind the shop. She really needed to stop reading Ed McBain at bedtime.
