His gaze locked onto hers. Something in that unwavering look scared her. Desperation? Fear? Regret? Toni couldn't put her finger on it, but it unnerved her to the point she wanted to pull away. Rob's tight hold on her wouldn't let her budge. Not that he hurt her; he just held her in place.

Toni appreciated the guts it took for him to admit that. The road ahead would be rough, but at least he knew? "I need a favor, Toni. A big one." "Of course." She smiled. "Anything." "Promise?" Toni laughed lightly. "Promise." Not a glimmer of humor lit his face. "I need you to go back to Vietnam and get my mistress and our two sons."
