eBook Description: Locksheed Ice Arena & Diner means everything to Christina Lord. As a young figure skater she practiced there, her first job was waiting tables there, and when she had the opportunity to buy it, she did so. Now her former figure skating partner, James Dougle wants to take it all way--just because he can. So Chris turns to her new neighbor, Nicholas Drake for help. An attorney from Chicago, he's more than enough to fight James' claim on her arena. But as a single dad, Nick knows that Chris is dangerous. She's already stolen his daughter's heart, and if he isn't careful, she'll steal his as well.

Before her, Nick stood, the baby blue shirt covering half his muscled chest. She lingered over the rippled abdomen, kept firm by more than office work. A tiny arrow of sandy hair disappeared beneath the waistband of his sinfully tight jeans. Chris bit her lip to hold back the murmur of appreciation.
She watched, fascinated, as he undid the button on his jeans, revealing a triangle of white briefs. Disappointment filled her as he covered his hard chest with the soft shirt. He quickly tucked it into jeans and buttoned them. As he pulled on the shirt, loosening it, his eyes drifted to the door. Chris couldn't read the expression in his indigo eyes. From their dark color, she knew desire filled his gaze. Did she do that with just a look, she wondered, but knew the answer. She stepped toward him, drawn to his electric stare. Her hand closed around the door frame, stopping her. She needed to tend to customers, not the need flaring between her and Nick. She felt his gaze slide from her own to linger over her breasts, outlined by the thin shirt. As if he touched her with a hand, she felt the caress in his gaze. His heated perusal of her body slid to her long, jean-clad legs. Chris shivered, not from the cold draft drifting through the hall. "I just wanted to remind you about the aprons in the kitchen," Chris said, breaking the spell of his gaze. "You could have shouted that through the door," Nick offered, a sly grin crossing his face. "Or," he asked, "did you just want to see me half-naked?"
