Before he knew what was happening, he kissed her. Hard and bruising at first, then softening. He dug his fingers into her hair and tipped her head to a more accommodating angle. He was swept along on a wave of raw passion and could not have stopped the kiss if his life depended on it. She was too feminine, too seductive and fit too damned perfectly in his arms. The scent of her, like a field of sun-dried wheat, enveloped him as he groped for control. With instinct in full command, there was no inkling of alarm, no warning, and not a shred of common sense.
At first she was rigid in his arms, then fluid, sinking into his chest, one arm lay between the blessed contact, with her body, he wanted so desperately. She was far more than he bargained for--hot, willing, pliant beneath his hands, honey sweet to his inquisitive tongue. He couldn't remember ever experiencing such an intense heat--a sweet, agonizing heat that burned into all of his senses. He could smell it, he could feel it, could taste it. Sensations and images flowed through him, sending fire shooting through his limbs.
