He couldn't resist any longer. Dominic gently turned Alissa away from the sink. Thick soapsuds ran down her arms, and she squealed as they started to drip on to the floor. Not giving her a chance to protest, he lowered his lips and tasted nectar. She stiffened and pressed wet hands against the front of his shirt. The skin on his chest heated instantly. He'd only intended a neighborly kiss, but seconds into the contact he forgot every intention to be just friends.

He nibbled then sucked on her lower lip, savoring the thrill as she quivered to his touch. Dominic's arms found their way around her shoulders drawing her closer, pinning her hands between them. For a moment, the sweet siren in his arms melted against him. His hands roamed from her back down to cup her bottom. Lost in the sensation of this perfect fit, he gasped in surprise when she suddenly pushed him away.

Alissa trembled. Whether it was from fear, excitement, or pure animal magnetism, she didn't know. All she knew for the moment was that this man ignited a spark in her that no other had ever begun to reach. Her breath came in deep ragged gulps. Before she could find her tongue to send him away, he reached for the dishtowel on the counter. Gently, he took each of her hands and wiped them dry. He maintained continual eye contact as he softly stroked her arms. Tossing the towel back to the counter, he raised her chin, brushed an errant lock of hair away from her forehead, cupped her cheeks between his hands, and ever so slowly lowered his head. He gave her all the time she needed to push him away. She didn't take it. Moving the last half-inch, he softly touched his lips to hers. Alissa jerked back in delayed reaction, but it was too late. She felt the sparks as he followed her retreating lips.
